Do you pay Swiss import VAT and customs charges when ordering from Dildoking?
Dildoking ships to Switzerland with DHL for EUR 16, and shipping is free from EUR 300. Nothing on its pages says Swiss VAT is settled at checkout. Expect the carrier to bill you roughly 8.1% import VAT plus a clearance fee of about CHF 11–20 before delivery.
This rests on an omission rather than an explicit DAP statement. The shop never says who pays import charges, and I found no Swiss buyer report on Trustpilot or Reddit confirming or denying a customs bill. If Clickpool GmbH has crossed the CHF 100,000 Swiss small-consignment threshold and registered for Swiss VAT, the checkout could charge VAT after all.
The shop's own delivery page (dildoking.de/lieferung) lists Switzerland in the standard DHL shipping table at 16,00 EUR flat, free from 300 EUR, with a 3–5 working day transit. Neither that page, the shipping FAQ nor the AGB mentions Swiss import VAT, DDP delivery, customs prepayment or a Swiss VAT number. The only customs reference is the explanation that the USA and UK are excluded because clearance is cumbersome. The AGB state that displayed prices include statutory German VAT and that foreign shipping costs follow the shipping information page, which is the usual signature of a DAP export from a German seller.
A checkout that deducts German VAT and adds Swiss VAT would flip this. Large orders sent by express courier also attract higher clearance fees than Swiss Post's minimum.
