Do you pay Swiss import VAT and customs charges when ordering from Sinful?
Sinful runs a Swiss-localised shop. Prices are in CHF with Swiss VAT already included, and parcels arrive with Swiss Post under Sinful's Swiss UID, so the postman should not ask for anything. Standard shipping is CHF 5.95, and it is free above CHF 80.
Confidence is medium. The Swiss VAT number and VAT-inclusive CHF pricing are strong but indirect evidence, because the shop never states in writing that it clears customs, and the delivery FAQ could not be retrieved. The stale free-shipping figure in the terms shows those pages are not always current.
The Swiss storefront sinful.ch is operated by Sinful ApS through MCompany c/o TRANS SPED AG in Embrach. Its footer carries a Swiss UID, CHE-207.100.945, alongside the statement that all displayed prices include statutory VAT and are quoted in Swiss francs. The terms say every delivery goes out with Swiss Post for CHF 5.95, with a free-shipping threshold, and the return address is inside Switzerland. That is the standard setup of a foreign shop registered for Swiss VAT that imports in its own name and delivers duty paid, so the 8.1% is already inside the shelf price and no carrier presentation fee should appear on delivery.
What weakens it is that nowhere in the terms does Sinful spell out that customs clearance and import VAT are covered. The conclusion rests on the Swiss VAT number and the CHF-inclusive pricing rather than on an explicit promise. The delivery FAQ page could not be loaded during this check, the terms still reference Danish sales law, and the goods physically ship from Denmark. The free-shipping figure in the terms, CHF 60, disagrees with the CHF 80 shown in the site banner, which suggests parts of the page are not fully maintained.
Very large or bulky consignments may travel outside the standard Swiss Post duty-paid flow and be cleared in the buyer's name. The same applies to B2B orders placed through Sinful's business programme.
