Do you pay Swiss import VAT and customs charges when ordering from Connox?
Swiss orders are handled through Connox's Swiss shop connox.ch, where prices already contain the 8.1% Swiss VAT and Connox does the customs clearance itself. Parcels arrive with Swiss Post and the postman collects nothing at the door. You pay only the CHF 9.90 shipping, which is waived from CHF 150.
The Swiss shop's wording is explicit and current. However, connox.de also carries a generic passage saying non-EU customers receive a net invoice and that VAT is then levied by the destination country's customs authority, and its Switzerland entry still shows an outdated CHF 6.90 / CHF 60 tariff. No recent Reddit or Trustpilot report was found to confirm delivery practice.
The Swiss-facing shipping page states that all prices include Swiss VAT of 8.1%, that Connox takes care of customs clearance for Swiss customers and that no clearance fees arise. Parcels go with Swiss Post at CHF 9.90, free from CHF 150. Bulky goods cost CHF 12 and freight consignments cost CHF 100. The German site's country list confirms the Swiss route by quoting Switzerland in Swiss francs rather than euros, and the English shop states that deliveries to Switzerland run through a dedicated shop at connox.ch.
The most likely exception is large furniture sent by freight forwarder, where shipping costs CHF 100. Connox's English page says freight consignments can trigger a separate customs invoice after delivery.
