Do you pay Swiss import VAT and customs charges when ordering from SKIMS?
The Swiss storefront prices in CHF and states that duties and taxes are included, so the parcel arrives with nothing to pay. Shipping is free on orders above CHF 100.
The evidence is the banner carried across the Swiss storefront rather than a Switzerland-specific shipping page, which I could not load. I also found no Swiss buyer reports confirming that nothing was charged on delivery.
SKIMS runs a Switzerland-specific storefront under the en-ch locale, with prices in CHF and TWINT at checkout. The site-wide banner on that storefront reads that duties and taxes are included, and the same wording appears on the UK and EU locales. International checkout is operated by Global-e, which registers for local tax, collects it at checkout and remits it, so the Swiss 8.1% import VAT is built into the price the buyer sees.
A parcel cleared under the wrong terms, or a shipment split across consignments, could still reach a Swiss address with a carrier invoice. The returns page shows reverse duties and taxes fall on the customer for self-posted returns.

“Duties And Taxes Are Included”
“Pre-paid Express Returns via DHL are subject to a US$15/€15 return shipping fee”
“Paying in advance guarantees no additional costs on delivery.”
