Do you pay Swiss import VAT and customs charges when ordering from Redcare Apotheke?
Shipping is CHF 5.95 below CHF 49 and free above it, and that flat rate covers any customs costs. Swiss Post hands over the parcel without collecting import VAT or a handling fee.
The FAQ wording is explicit and the Swiss VAT registration supports it. The general terms are published only as a PDF I could not read, and I found no buyer report either confirming or contradicting a charge on delivery.
The FAQ states that the shipping flat rate also covers any costs arising at customs, and that no additional customs fees are payable. Prices are shown in francs, delivery is by Swiss Post in two to four working days, and the operator carries a Swiss VAT number, CHE-281.725.272, listed on the Toppreise dealer page. That combination means Swiss VAT is settled at checkout and the goods are cleared before delivery.
Medicines are subject to Swissmedic private-import limits. A parcel stopped for that reason is a regulatory hold, not an import VAT charge.
