Do you pay Swiss import VAT and customs charges when ordering from BADER?
Prices on bader.ch are in Swiss francs and already include Swiss VAT, and delivery is free above an order value of CHF 50. The parcel is handed over ready to keep, and nothing extra is collected at your door.
The shop never writes an explicit "no customs charges" sentence, so the verdict rests on the combination of a Swiss legal entity, CHF prices including statutory VAT and domestic-only delivery. That is a strong but indirect inference, and no independent buyer report of an unexpected customs bill was found.
bader.ch is run by BADER Versand AG in Root LU, with a Swiss company ID (CHE-105.890.603) and a PostFinance account, and its terms state that prices are CHF prices including statutory VAT and that no additional shipping costs arise. The same terms limit ordering and delivery to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and the shipping page describes delivery to any address within Switzerland, so the sale is treated as a domestic Swiss supply even though the goods leave BADER's dispatch centre in Germany. Every page footer repeats "Preisangaben inkl. gesetzl. MwSt. | Ohne Versandkosten", and nowhere do the terms, the shipping page or the FAQ mention customs, import VAT, clearance charges or handling fees payable by the buyer.
Ordering from the German or Austrian sister sites (bader.de, bader.at) instead of bader.ch would be a cross-border purchase and could be handled differently. Bulky furniture sent by forwarder is also worth confirming when you order.
