Do you pay Swiss import VAT and customs charges when ordering from AUTODOC Schweiz?
Prices on the Swiss site are in francs and already contain the 8.1% Swiss VAT, so a parcel arrives with nothing left to pay. Shipping is CHF 21.95, dropping to CHF 1.82 once the goods reach CHF 320.
The 8.1% VAT statement is clear and current, but the shop never writes that it clears customs, and the terms still link to the customs authority about possible fees. That unresolved wording keeps this at medium rather than high.
The Swiss shipping page quotes GLS delivery inside Switzerland and states that all prices include 8.1% VAT, the Swiss rate. The terms repeat that prices are in CHF and contain statutory VAT. A German seller can only charge Swiss VAT at checkout if it is registered under the Swiss mail order rule, which means AUTODOC clears the consignment and the carrier hands it over without an invoice at the door.
The operator is AUTODOC SE in Berlin, and the terms still carry a generic line pointing customers to the Swiss customs authority for possible customs fees. Neither the shipping page nor the terms say in plain words that delivery is duty paid. The shipping page also limits its rules to items sold by AUTODOC itself, and marketplace sellers are governed by separate terms.
Items sold by third-party sellers on the AUTODOC marketplace fall under separate terms, and bulky goods shipped from partner warehouses may travel differently.
