The German Decathlon shop only delivers to addresses inside Germany, so a Swiss address cannot even be entered at checkout. If you want Decathlon goods in Switzerland, order from decathlon.ch, where prices are in CHF with Swiss VAT already included, or use a parcel-forwarding service and pay the import charges through them.
Confidence is high because three separate current Decathlon Germany help pages say the same thing in plain terms; the residual weakness is that these are help-centre answers rather than the AGB, and the pages could not be fetched directly, so the wording was read from indexed page text rather than the live page.
Decathlon Germany's own help pages are unambiguous on this point. The FAQ answer on foreign deliveries states that the German online shop delivers only within Germany and that a delivery address outside Germany cannot be selected, and the shipping-cost and delivery-method pages repeat that deliveries to addresses outside Germany are not possible. The published shipping rates (DHL/Hermes from EUR 4.99, free Click & Collect) are all domestic German options, and there is no Switzerland-specific page, VAT statement or DDP option anywhere in the help centre. Because no shipment to Switzerland can be created, there is no import VAT or customs handling question to answer for this domain.
What complicates it is that Decathlon does serve Switzerland, just through a different entity: decathlon.ch is a Swiss shop with Swiss stock, CHF pricing including Swiss VAT and delivery by Swiss Post or DPD, so a Swiss shopper who thinks they are 'ordering from Decathlon Germany' will in practice end up on the domestic Swiss site with nothing to pay on delivery. The other route people take is a German forwarding address (MeinEinkauf.ch, ShipGerman and similar), and there the forwarder — not Decathlon — imports the goods and bills the 8.1 percent import VAT plus its own clearing and freight charge. Decathlon's German marketplace partners also ship under their own conditions, but they are still bound by the same German-only delivery address rule.
